The death of the chief of staff to the President of Nigeria Abba Kyari, as announced few hours ago came as a rude shock to many Nigerians. Few weeks ago, the chief of staff to the President Abba Kyari was diagnosed with the COVID 19 virus which has made his whereabouts unknown until his death was announced hours ago.
Abba Kyari’s death has rattled the former governor of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun whom our inside sources confirmed that he was in tears, visibly shocked and troubled while reciting quranic verses as he received the call of his death early this morning. You will recall that I published an exclusive report of Amosun’s contact with Abba Kyari and Amosun testing positive to the COVID 19 which has not been officially denied by the Senator who is still yet to make a public appearance since the story was made public.
Abba Kyari was a very powerful member of the cabal in the presidency. He was so powerful to the level of relegating other top level cabals like Alhaji Issa Funtua, Alhaji Manman Daura, Alhaji Issa Munguno and others. Senator Ibikunle Amosun became too close to the late chief of staff in order to have his way in the presidency through securing juicy political appointments for his followers.
Senator Amosun and others also used the late Chief of staff Abba Kyari to deal with the Vice President of Nigeria, Pastor Yemi Osinbajo whom they believed to be interested in the 2023 presidential race on several occasions ranging from handling economic negotiation deals (power deal in Germany), denying him access to presidential jet and blocking the state from accessing the funds for the poor and vulnerable through NASSCO & NTCO which was directly under the supervision of the office of the Vice President when he was the governor of Ogun state among others.
As at the time of writing this report, political friends and followers of the former governor have been trooping to his GRA mansion in Abeokuta. They have been gathering in clusters discussing the political implications of Abba Kyari’s death. A very close political confidant of former governor Amosun while leaving him this morning was heard telling another high ranking political associate that “Oga is very shocked and down. I couldn’t still get close to him because he’s a little bit ill but we spoke observing the social distance. We will have to find our way to the next person in the presidency”
However the late Chief of staff has been buried according to the Islamic rite this morning.
