Charges COVID -19 team of trade fair complex market leaders on safety precautions.

Ectasy , professional enlightenment and safety- driven clarion call, reviberated in the Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s hall in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Secretariat yesterday , at a 3-day free socio-economic interactions between the leadership of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, led by Engineer (Dr.) Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh- (V.O.B),the Executive Chairman of the local government and the business community in the cosmopolitan local government area of Amuwo Odofin.

The interactions were the product of a 3 – day free training on COVID -19 containment, specially organised by the Amuwo Odofin Local Government for the economic giants within the locality by the present administration of the council.

Recall that the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has advised Lagosians on their compliance with the State Government’s policy on the contamination of the corona virus pandemic within the state’s metropolis.

In accordance with the State Government’s directives, especially on COVID-19 cases, Engineer (Dr.) Valentine Buraimoh-led administration in Amuwo Odofin Local Government, has advanced the campaign against further spread of the dreaded virus in the area, using the just concluded 3 – day free training on COVID – 19 safety protocols, to imbibe the clinical culture and COVID – 19 virus precautionary measure in the populated participants at the training exercise, held in the Local Government’s Secretariat.

The participants who represented various organizations freely interacted with the Executive Chairman and revealed that business owners in the local government were ready to co-operate with the government at the grassroots to step the surge of COVID-19 in the community.

Whereas, at a separate meeting , which Engineer (Dr.)Valentine Buraimoh-, the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, held with the COVID – 19 team of Trade Fair Complex market leaders on safety precautions in the local government, the council boss tasked the leaders of the various business associations of the International Trade Fair Complex market which include: tyre village, Association of Progressive Traders ( APT), mechanic village, ASPAMDA, CALLPACK, tools and hardwares , and Balogun Business Association (BBA), to always apply synergies among various markets within the complex and ensured that the spread of COVID – 19 in the Trade Fair Complex be curtailed.

His words: ” I appeal to the individual market operators in the Trade Fair Complex to be safety conscious because Nigerians appreciate your brains since you are gifts to the nation.”

In response to the Executive Chairman’s admonition, the leadership of the complex market owners pledged that as part of their COVID – 19 safety compliance, saying ” for now, businesses in the Trade Fair Complex will only open 3 days weekly, between the hours of 9am and 3pm; all provisions have been made at the entrances of the trade fair complex’s main gate for patronisers to wash and sanitise their hands; keeping social distance; well kitted with face masks and hand gloves, obligation of business travellers who just returned from International trips to mandatorily isolate themselves for 14 days before entering the trade fair complex, among other COVID-19 safety measures.
