Senior pastor, Lordship Worship Centre, Makurdi, Rev. Apostle Mtswenem Tor David on Monday led Prophet Martins Ageewua Biam, Rev. Mrs Dorothy Aoraan and Media Consultant to the Ministry, Mr Amos Aar on a prayer visit to the Executive Chairman of Konshisha Local Government, Hon. Engr James Terlumun Jirgba and his wife, Mrs Victoria Jirgba at their Makurdi residence.
Speaking during the visit, Apostle Mtswenem said the Holy Bible has charged the clergy to be praying for leaders because they carry heavy load with taxing responsibilities, hence they need Divine support in order not to go astray. It was in fulfilment of that Biblical obligation that they deemed it necessary to pray for the Chairman, his family and by extension the entire people of Konshisha Local Government noting that, “if it is well with you( the Chairman), it is well with Konshisha people, if you are healthy, the entire people of Konshisha are healthy”.
The founding President of Lordship Worship Centre also presented a copy of the Holy Bible and other blessed items to the Chairman and his family to strengthen them spiritually. According to him, while the Living Water was meant to wash away all the problems in Konshisha LGA, the anointing oil was to serve as a point of contact with family members who were not present during the prayers as well as Konshisha leaders and people in general both home and abroad to be able to tap from the blessings the Chairman had received.
He thanked Mrs Jirgba for being supportive of her husband through ceaseless prayers and good advice to enable the Chairman succeed in the great work of leading his people. He described the first Lady as a Godfearing woman whose comments even social media are always guided and Godly. This quality according to the Apostle is characteristic of a true Christian since children of God are known by their fruits anywhere they find themselves.
Responding, the Executive Chairman, Hon. James Jirgba appreciated Apostle Mtswenem Tor David and his Spiritual Colleagues for the prayer visit. He said,
“when you want to work for God, you start with humanity, this is what we have been doing ( referring to prayers), you are not alone in this struggle.
May God bless you for coming”.
In her remarks/vote of thanks, the First Lady of Konshisha Local Government, Mrs Victoria Jirgba expressed profound gratitude to the men of God for finding time to pray for her family and the entire people of the Local Government. She wished them divine favour, protection, and encouraged them to extend the gesture to other people as well.
