Boko Haram Gov: Mailafia Reveals The Gov. Behind Boko Haram

Obadiah Mailafia, a former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), says he got the information about a Northern Governor being a leader of the terrorist group, Boko Haram from traders in a market.

Mailafia was invited by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the allegations, however, he was released from DSS custody after spending some hours with the security agency.

As the allegations continue to spread like wild fire in the political sphere, Mailafia, in an interview with BBC Hausa on Thursday revealed he got the information from some Fulani traders in the market and did not know that his comments would go viral.

Mailafia said he explained to the DSS what he knew about the incident and apologized for any statements he made that offended others.

He also said that he is a fan of President Muhammadu Buhari, but added that there are few bad people who don’t give him the advice he needs.

The Northern Governors Forum (NGF) has called on security agencies to investigate Mailafia’s allegations, adding that it shouldn’t be swept under the carpet
