Benue state Commander of Operation Zenda, CSP Justine Gberindyer on Sunday received an award of the Outstanding Crime Fighter of the Year, 2020 In Benue State. The award was bestowed on him by the Benue Coalition for Good Governance, BCGG, in Makurdi, the Benue state Capital.
The organizers said the honour done the CSP was in recognition of his giant strides in combating crime in the state. They said, under Gberindyer as the Commander of Operation Zenda which is a Joint Task Force comprising the Military, Navy, Air Force, Civil Defence, Police and other sister agencies, the force has achieved security and relative peace in the state through taxing jobs, rescue operations physical policy, Intelligence-led policy and counter operations which have led to the recovery of many kidnap victims even without paying ransom. Other crimes like armed robbery, cultism, communal crisis, child trafficking are being tackled.
The Chief Superintendent of Police who was represented at the occasion by his wife dedicated the honour done him to God who has been protecting and enabling him to do the good work.
Speaking in her capacity, the Commander’s wife prayed God to continue to guide, support and protect her husband and other men of the Force to sustain their selfless service to Benue state and Nigeria at large.
