Insecurity: Zamfara State Yoruba Community Organises Special Prayers

Due to the increasing number of banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping, armed robbery and other criminal activities in Zamfara state and some part of the country, the Yoruba community based in zamfara state has today organized special prayers seeking God’s intervention.

The prayers which was held at residence of Kabiyesi Oba Abdulrasaq Sobanke ( Sarkin Yorubawa of Zamfara state) Nassarawa area tudun wada, was witnessed by some members of ethnics community residing in the state.

In his welcome address, the Sarkin Yorubawa of Zamfara state and chairman ethinics communities base in the state, Kabiyesi Oba Abdulrasaq Sobanke said, the essence of this gathering here today is to pray for our country, Zamfara state and the Yoruba community, to have a lasting peace.

He lamented that, all the bad things that are happening now is as a result of our bad did, adding that it is high time now for every believer to embark on prayers, seeking for forgiveness, and mercy from Almighty Allah, and for the returning of peace in the state and nation in general.

In his remarks, the special adviser to governor Bello Matawalle on Directorate of inter community relation Honorable Usman Sabo Magami thanked the Yoruba community for the gesture, saying that is a welcome development.

He added that the Yoruba community are the first community in the state who organized these important prayers, seeking peace to return in our dear state, according to him, this is an indication that they have good synergy with people in the state.

The special adviser who was represented by the director for inter community relation, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Maradun said the prayers came at a time when the state is in the need, according to him prayers are the solution for everything.

Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Maradun maintained that, the government under governor Bello Matawalle has organised peace and reconciliation initiative with bandits, he said the program has resulted for released of some victims of kidnapping free of charge.
