It was indeed a great joy in Ojo and environ as Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu the Executive Chairman Ojo Local Government presents 500KVA transformer to Ojo community, empowered 114 market men and women, old and young, indigene and non-indigene of Ojo

Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu also received an Award from the City Herald magazine the same day, according to him, “it is my duty to deliver to my people during my administration and to continue with the empowerment program to keep my promise fulfilled as to liberate my people and to eradicate poverty from the local government of Ojo as a whole” he said.

Hon Rasulu Olusola Idowu when presenting the cheques took pictures with each of the beneciary, my administration’s plan is to set-up Small and Medium scale business and yearly empowerment programs for my people and it is my honor I have started and will not stop until the people of ojo is satisfied okay said hon Rasulu Olusola Idowu.

At the empowerment programe for the people in the 5 political wards in ojo the 114 beneficiaries received the amount of N100,000, N50,000 and N25,000 had also provided platforms to trained and guides the beneficiaries on how to invest the money received and make proper decisions.

In the same vein, Chairman said the financial assistance is to eradicate poverty, cutting across all structures in the LGA to boost their business and trades

“I promised to embark with more projects if I would be given opportunity to come back for second term, you could recalled that empowerment was one of my promises during my first term campaign, today it has come to reality”

While speaking with some of the beneciary Mr Pius Nathaniel said I appreciates the chairman very well because all hope was lost for my school coaching but with the money I received from the chairman I can now pay for the space am using to teach my pupil, Jubril Muibat said I am very happy for my business had gone down because of the crises arised in the past with this money the chairman gave me I will boost up my business, also Ijalade Ifeoma prayed and thanked the chairman for being part of the good luck the chairman brought upon the Local Government they were all in great excitement and wished Hon Rasulu Olusola Idowu 2rd term in office as the Chairman of Ojo Local Government

In view of the above indicators, we consider it expedient to curb this societal menace in the grassroots”.

The people that grace the occasion are Mrs Edna-Uche Ubochi The Vice Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon Sikiru Lawal The Secretary to the Local Government, Rasaq Banire APC leader, Alhaji Olorunfunmi Apex Leader Ojo.
