Kamilu Isah Retires At 60, Hands Over To Sadiq Okeji

 

The Assistant Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Benue state command, Kamilu Ado Isah has retired from office and is succeeded by ACG Sadiq Sule Okeji.
Speaking yesterday, 13th October, 2020 in Makurdi during the ceremony that marked his 60th birthday and handover to his successor, ACG Isah urged him to build on the existing solid structures he had established. He said however that Okeji was free to use his discretion to make changes where necessary.Kamilu also advised the new state commandant to maintain hygiene standards at the command headquarters by keeping the green grass. He thanked God for enabling him to achieve peace in Benue state among all tribes which he will be remembered for.

Ado Isah

He made it clear that he will be registered fully into the Kankwasia movement which sent a delegation to Benue state to convey him to Kano, expressing optimism that he will not be idle when he go back to his state.
The outgoing Assistant Commandant General appreciated the Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom, his cabinet, the Legislature, Judiciary and the traditional institution for their support which enabled him to discharge his duties in the state successfully and urged them to extend same to his successor.

In his address, the new Commandant, ACG Sadiq Sule Okeji said he was lucky to have taken over from Kamilu Ado Isah and promised to consolidate on the numerous success story and achievements already attained by his predecessor even as the size of the shoes left behind seemed intimidating. He was confident to achieve huge success because of the support from the security stakeholders in the state.
Okeji described Ado Isah who he knew barely two weeks ago as an amazing personality, a man with lesser mind and very articulate, humble and unassuming.
He wished ACG Isah success in all his future endeavors, saying he was retiring but not tired and so he would soon be called upon to serve in many capacities because a “golden fish has no hiding place”.

Tayyu Ibrahim

Leader of the delegation from Kano Emirate Council, Tayyu Ibrahim who represented Wamban Kano thanked the NSCDC in Benue state for the cooperation given Kamilu Ado Isah that facilitated his success.
Ibrahim said he was humbled by the good remarks made by the security agents about Ado Isah and assured that they will take good care of him in Kano state.
