Lagosians have been urged to take advantage of the ongoing Lagos MSMEs Trade fair holding at LTV premises for patronage of household items and other products as a way of encouraging the growth and development of made in Nigeria goods and services.
The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. Mrs. Lola Akande made the call at the ongoing 5th Edition of the Lagos State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Exclusive Fair organised by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives.
She said that the fair has recorded impressive turn out since it started few days ago, adding that many Lagosians and indeed Nigerians can still benefit from the opportunity provided by the fair before it comes to a close on Sunday 27th of September, 2020.
Akande stated that a Raffle draw with mouth watery gifts will be part of attractions for the closing ceremony of the local exhibition and fair.
Akande who revealed that Lagos State has the highest number of MSMEs and micro-enterprises stated that the huge presence of the business should be leveraged on by the populace to contribute significantly to the State’s GDP.
She noted that the Fair is part of the State government’s effort to continually provide aid to entrepreneurs and business owners in order to mitigate challenges faced, just as she lauded the tremendous support of the administration of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu towards the development of MSMEs in the State.
She said “I am particularly happy that the Governor himself attended the opening ceremony of this fair as an attestation and demonstration of his interest in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)”
