NAWOJ PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN TRAIN VISITS ZAMFARA, VOWS TO RECOVER IT’S LOST GLORY

The presidential candidate of Nigerian Association Of women Journalists, NAWOJ Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim has today stormed Zamfara state soliciting for the support of zamfara, with a pledge to reinvigorate the lost glory of the association.

She made the disclosure today, while addressing members of the union at a Press Center Gusau, adding that, NAWOJ in Nigeria has suffered a lot from the hands of past leaders who could not produce any achievements during their tenure.

According to her, “in the event I am returned as the NAWOJ President, I will do everything possible to bring back the lost glory of the union, by creating an avenue where members will be trained , Construction of Secretariat ,welfare of members among others” she said.

The aspirant also revealed that, since the beginning of unrest in Northern part of Nigeria like Maiduguri where boko haram killed Women and children, some states like Zamfara, Katsina, Kebbi Kaduna, and also some states from the Southern part of the country, have never said anything to symphatize with the victims..

Aisha who held various positions on the union, called on members to come enmass and vote for her, so that she move the association forward. she said

“If you give me the mandate we will build nawoj Secretariat, and create offices in every state and operate in synergy with state council, as well as embark on training and retraining of our people” she said.

Responding, the NAWOJ Zamfara state chapter chairperson Hajiya Salamatu Abdullahi said, based on the track record of Aisha, there is hope that she can manage the association and take it to a greater level.

She however assured the candidate of total support, noting that they know they will never regret voting Hajiya Aisha as NAWOJ President.

The program was attended by the secretary of Nigeria Union Of Journalist Zamfara state council, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed, Comrade Kanoma, Chairmen of various chapels in the state among others.
