The Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu has been urged to rescue the traders of Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji Market Association, 2nd gate Agboju festac town, from the(woman) Nonye Ukaegbe’ s higher thugs who took laws in their hands to set their market ablaze.
The Chairman of Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji Market Association, Chief Fidelis Mwagbo made this known while addressing the newsmen during the protest staged on Tuesday at the Lagos State House of Assembly gate,that it has been 2 years now that the above named Nonye Ukaegbe higher thugs to demolish shops and properties in the market and increased a record of taking more life without government intervention.
He said that the traders are law abiding citizens of Lagos who seek government help to make the user of the thugs pay for all the damages. He expressed that the traders are into selling food items and since its been set ablaze they have nothing to feed after all the damages caused.
He stated that over the years before the Monday Fire outbreak the traders had been assaulted by the thugs and had once threatened to burn the market and to pay sum of money for the land used in the market to the extent that the traders had taken the case to the Federal High Court ,when the thugs attacked the traders with cutlass and there are video and photo evidence.
